Anyone can download Minecraft: Education Edition for absolutely no cost! You can test Minecraft: Education Edition without cost by using the trial for free or download the demo lesson. You'll need an account to get the trial at no cost, which is either an Office 365 Education or Microsoft 365 account. The demo lesson is not requiring any login or account. This article provides details on how to utilize the free trial and the demo lesson. Technical requirements Minecraft: Education Edition can be played on Chromebook, iPad, Mac and PC. To ensure that Minecraft: Education Edition is compatible with your device, go through the System Requirements article. About the free trial The free trial is fully functional and includes all the features of the paid version. The trial is compatible with Code Connection and Classroom Mode. These features are described in the Get Started with Code Connection and Get Started with Classroom Mode articles. The trial is restricted to 25 logins for teachers who have an Office 365 Education Account and 10 for all users. After that, a paid license is required to continue playing. Trial logins cannot be refreshed - if you have any issues, please contact our support team as soon as possible so you don't use all your trial logins! After your trial logins have been used, Minecraft: Education Edition is available to purchase. Start the trial trial for free Follow these steps if you have an Office 365 Education or Microsoft 365 account to access the trial for free. Select the Minecraft: Education Edition version you wish to download from the Get Minecraft download page. The Minecraft: Education Edition version you downloaded should be installed.
